Notes from Mid Hudson Animal Aid

Hi! My name is Nutmeg. I am a sweet and shy girl who lived outdoors with other cats. A kind person noticed that I was sick and brought me to the shelter for treatment. After a dental procedure and follow-up testing, it was discovered that I had a metal BB in my face! I don't know how that happened, but I am fully recovered and feeling so much better now that it was removed. I have been through a lot and I am still adjusting to indoor life and learning to trust humans. I will need a patient and calm adopter who can give me all the time I need to settle in. You can come meet me anytime Wednesday through Monday between 12-4pm, no appointment needed (Tuesdays we are open by appointment only). For more information, please contact Mid Hudson Animal Aid at (845) 831-4321 or send an email to sheltermanager@midhudsonanimalaid.org. You can complete the adoption application when you visit, or submit this form online: http://www.midhudsonanimalaid.org/adoption-application-2/

What happens next

  1. Contact Mid Hudson Animal Aid using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Mid Hudson Animal Aid, never to AdoptNearby.
