Notes from Animal Care Sanctuary

Sweet KitKat has been through a lot of changes recently. Her beloved owner passed away, and she suddenly found herself leaving the home she knew for a busy shelter environment. It’s a big adjustment for any cat, and KitKat is having a difficult time understanding all these changes. Before coming to ACS, KitKat lived in a home with other cats, dogs, and even a bird, so she is no stranger to sharing her space with other animals. 🐱🐶🐦 KitKat is a sweet girl who enjoys gentle attention, but she would prefer to keep all four paws on the ground—being picked up isn't really her favorite thing! She would much rather get to know you at her own pace and enjoy affection on her terms. ❤️ Right now, the shelter is a little overwhelming for KitKat, and we know that the cat you see here may not be the same girl who will blossom once she is back in a quiet, loving home. Sometimes our most wonderful cats simply need time, patience, and a safe place to decompress. KitKat is looking for someone who will give her that chance—to settle in, feel safe, and rediscover the sweet girl she is underneath all the stress. 🥰 Could you be the person who helps KitKat feel at home again?
