Notes from Mid Hudson Animal Aid

Hi! My name is Charlie Barley. I am a sweet and shy girl who was rescued by a local TNR group and could not be returned to the outdoors. Now I am at the shelter to find my forever home! I like to lounge up on a shelf where I can check out the action in the room and would be very happy if you offered me some treats! I am a bit larger than my friend Abby Tabby and have round cheeks and an "M" mark on my forehead. I am still getting used to indoor life around people and I will need a patient and calm adopter who can give me all the time I need to settle in. You can come meet me anytime Wednesday through Monday between 12-4pm, no appointment needed (Tuesdays we are open by appointment only). For more information, please contact Mid Hudson Animal Aid at (845) 831-4321 or send an email to sheltermanager@midhudsonanimalaid.org. You can complete the adoption application when you visit, or submit this form online: http://www.midhudsonanimalaid.org/adoption-application-2/

What happens next

  1. Contact Mid Hudson Animal Aid using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Mid Hudson Animal Aid, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
