Notes from Mid Hudson Animal Aid

Hi! My name is Charmaine. I was found as a stray mom with my kittens. The shelter's wonderful partner Middlehope Veterinary Hospital took care of me and found homes for my kittens, and now I'm at the shelter to find my own forever home! I am sweet but shy and still learning to trust new people, but I'm gaining more confidence each day as the MHAA staff and volunteers help me adjust to my new surroundings. I will need a patient and calm adopter who will give me all the time I need to be comfortable with settling into my new home. You can come meet me anytime Wednesday through Monday between 12-4pm, no appointment needed (Tuesdays we are open by appointment only). For more information, please contact Mid Hudson Animal Aid at (845) 831-4321 or send an email to sheltermanager@midhudsonanimalaid.org. You can complete the adoption application when you visit or submit this form online: http://www.midhudsonanimalaid.org/adoption-application-2

What happens next

  1. Contact Mid Hudson Animal Aid using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Mid Hudson Animal Aid, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
