Notes from Paws Crossed Animal Rescue Inc.

Birthdate: 02/16/2023Breed: One of a kindRUE would like to thank you all for your patience, but wants you to know....she's ready to love again!! Coming a long way from Puerto Rico to find her forever home, she had the toughest time of all her El Faro friends at feeling at home here. Perhaps because she's a sensitive, gentle girl, the transition from the only home she'd ever known proved to be a difficult one. We all know that fear even for humans can leave us emotionally on shaky ground, and it's really no different for cats. So we waited. Rue went to a foster home briefly that we think jump started some changes. Since her return to our cat room, we've watched her watching us in a different way. We held our breath. We hoped. Just the other day, the inner Rue (who we knew was just below the surface) emerged in a way that fills our hearts. She is flirty, she is chatty (chirping up a storm) and she insists that you pet her! It's as if her heart and soul are finally feeling safe enough to show us her love! We celebrate it all! This is why we never give up on an animal. Our show-stopping beauty queen has been so worth the wait! The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out. You can fill this out at the Rescue or before you come in at: https://www.pawscrossedny.org/cat-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold pets for any reason. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants.
