Notes from Brooklyn Animal Action

Russell is a gorgeous, silky, gray boy who will be your cat's best friend! And if you have regular churu offerings, he will be your friend, too.

By 2024, Russell had been living in our rescuer's backyard for a couple of years. He would come not only for meals but also scratches and company; so it was time to bring him indoors. Since then, Russell has become completely comfortable in his foster's home, keeping company with all the other foster kitties -- either becoming good buddies or simply coexisting. He's never gotten into any trouble. He's still skeptical of regular petting but will climb into his foster's lap for churu and hangs out nearby at all times.

We can't promise you that Russell will ever be a cuddly cat, but he's a healthy, calm, uncomplicated guy who just wants to be around his people and cat friends and relax, and occasionally play, ideally with a cat buddy of a similar speed.

Russell is estimated to be 6 years old; he's neutered, vaccinated, negative for FIV and FeLV, and recently got another clean bill of health. He must be adopted into a home with another kitty.

To adopt Russell, fill out our application form here:

Mention Russell as the cat, and SuseG as the rescuer.
