Notes from Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition, Inc.

Delcie is a chunky and spunky lady whose journey to lap cat status is 95% complete! She has sadly had a really rough time. She was abandoned in the snow on a bitterly cold day in February. The exposure and stress contributed to her getting very sick for a long time, but our girl is a fighter and she is doing really well now!

Delcie’s favorite activities include taking luxurious naps sprawled out on the couch and acting cute for Temptations treats. She has impeccable litter box manners and truly wants nothing more than a quiet place to love and be loved.

Delcie would do best in an understanding and quiet home with older children or adults-only. She asks only for a little patience from you and in exchange, she will give you her unending trust and affection. She will beg for affection by purring loudly, bonking her head on any part of you she can reach, and even tapping you gently and affectionately with a paw.

Occasionally and understandably, Delcie gets overstimulated or hangry and her trauma gets the better of her. It seems like this typically only happens around other cats who are too exuberant and assertive for her liking, so may not be applicable if she is the only cat in your home.

This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.
