Notes from Paws Crossed Animal Rescue Inc.
Birthdate: 4/7/2024Breed: One of a kindSCAMPI is a gorgeous tuxie who had less than fancy beginnings. Rescued by our determined friends at Lucky Dog Rescue, she'd been trapped in a snare of abandoned lobster traps and was safely brought to freedom after rescuers tracked her plaintive mewing. Today, she’s thriving in a loving foster home and discovering that her new life is pretty darn awesome! Scampi is a gentle, curious girl who is cat and dog friendly and comfortable around adults and children who respect her boundaries and can read her cues. She's a keen observer of life around her and will always be ready to join the party - especially if offered a churu! She's become a wonderful, appreciative cat who loves being near her people, but is still on the fence about being pet. A "maybe someday" kind of girl - we'll give her all the time she needs. In the meantime, she may show her affection a little differently, but we have no doubt that her gentle taps, playful antics and obvious affinity for our company tell us how she really feels. Scampi is looking for a patient and understanding home ready to discover all the sweet ways she chooses to be part of your life. Did we mention how proud we are of how far she's come? Scampi is currently in a foster home. Please email adoptions@pawscrossedny.org if you'd like to meet her! Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36923/generic! Once your questionnaire is pre-approved, you will be able to meet our pets. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information.
