Notes from EASEL Animal Rescue League

Harold was picked up by Ewing Animal Control and was brought to us after he started showing up at a local mechanic shop. He came to us already ear tipped meaning that someone cared for him at some point to get him fixed but unfortunately nobody came looking for him once he landed at our shelter. Since then, Harold has become a shelter favorite amongst staff and volunteers. The moment you open his cage door, he wants to go right into your arms and snuggle up to you. Harold is a social butterfly and would do well with other cats. Harold is FIV+, but this diagnosis should not deter you from meeting and adopting him. FIV+ cats live normal lives and the disease is not highly contagious. With regular check ups (as all cats should have) he is unlikely to need any special care. He is sweet cat who would make an excellent companion for someone looking for a cuddlebug. We do not know all of Harold's story but we want to help continue writing it. At only 2 years old, he deserves a loving home where he can be his true lover boy self. Adoption by appointment only with an approved adoption application. Please go to www.easelnj.org/adopt to submit an adoption application. Someone will be in touch within 48 hours.

What happens next

  1. Contact EASEL Animal Rescue League using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to EASEL Animal Rescue League, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
