Notes from Jersey Shore Animal Center

This cat is part of our shelter outreach program where we take pets from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them. They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. FIV/Felv negative. Harold is a sweet, calm, loving old soul. He has a soft, loving gaze and a quiet purr. Harold enjoys being brushed, loves to be around people and would love to have a comfy home of his own. He is calm for the most part, but he does enjoy batting around his mouse toys, and playing with a laser pointer. Harold hopes to spend his days lounging in a cozy bed, and soaking up all the love and affection from his human. Harold is truly the nicest little gentleman ever! *Updated 10/28/26 1:20pm

What happens next

  1. Contact Jersey Shore Animal Center using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Jersey Shore Animal Center, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
