Notes from Jersey Shore Animal Center

This cat is part of our shelter outreach program where we take pets from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them. They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. FIV/Felv negative. Meet Turnip! Turnip is a handsome 2-year-old gray boy with a heart of gold. Like his best friend Partridge, Turnip can be a little shy when he first meets new friends or steps into a new environment. However, with a little patience and love, he quickly warms up to reveal his sweet, deeply affectionate side! If you're looking to open your heart to a sweet, gentle boy who LOVES belly rubs, (and hopefully his best friend, too) Turnip is ready to fill your home with love! 10/19/26 12pm

What happens next

  1. Contact Jersey Shore Animal Center using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Jersey Shore Animal Center, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
