Notes from Jersey Shore Animal Center

This cat is part of our shelter outreach program where we take pets from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them. They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. FIV/Felv negative.

Meet Partridge! Partridge is a gorgeous 1-year-old gray beauty with a gentle soul. She can be a little shy when meeting new people or settling into new spaces, but once she knows she’s safe, her sweet and affectionate side truly shines. One of Partridge's absolute favorite things is getting brushed, it's the fastest way to earn her trust and win over her heart! She also loves to explore her surroundings from up high and can often be found perched comfortably on top of her favorite cat tower, watching the world go by. Partridge shows affection to her favorite people by giving little kisses/licks on your hands and arms. Partridge is currently part of a dynamic duo with her best friend, Turnip, and they would love nothing more than to find a forever home together. However, if they happen to be adopted separately, Partridge will definitely need to go to a home with another friendly feline companion to help keep her confident and happy. If you have a quiet corner, a cat tower, and plenty of love to give, Partridge (and Turnip!) can’t wait to meet you!

What happens next

  1. Contact Jersey Shore Animal Center using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Jersey Shore Animal Center, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
