Notes from Jersey Shore Animal Center

This cat is part of our shelter outreach program where we take pets from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them. They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. FIV/Felv negative. JJ is 5 years old. My friends here at JSAC think I was a king in my past life. They're probably right! I really am a nice boy, I just like to be the boss. I love to be pet, I purr, I love to play, I enjoy rolling around and taunting people to pet my belly... I enjoy my "me" time and personal space as well. I will approach people and show affection whenever I feel like it. I will make a great companion for someone looking for a tiny manager! *Updated 10/28/26 11:00am

What happens next

  1. Contact Jersey Shore Animal Center using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Jersey Shore Animal Center, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
