Notes from Randall's Rescues, Inc.
Meet Duke – A Dashing Gentleman with a Heart of Gold! With his sleek onyx coat, captivating eyes, and distinguished manners, Duke is one handsome aristocat! But don't let his royal title fool you. This charming fellow is more interested in snuggles, treats, and a little screen time than ruling a kingdom! Duke is a gentleman who prefers to observe his surroundings before making his grand entrance. He may be shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate side shines! He loves pets and will happily head-butt your hand to remind you that your royal duties aren't finished! He's even discovered the joys of lap time, although he'd prefer to keep all four paws on the ground rather than be picked up. When he's not enjoying affection, Duke can often be found watching bird videos or playing catch-the-mouse games on a tablet. Yes, this sophisticated fellow enjoys a little screen time! He's also quite the purr machine, especially when joined by his sister! Every Duke needs his Duchess! Duke is bonded with his sister, Duchess, and these two must be adopted together. He happily lets his sister take the lead while he plays the role of the perfect gentleman. Together, they're an adorable pair of stereo purr machines! Duke was recently diagnosed with mild asthma, but he's doing well with his daily medication, which he takes in pill form. His future family will need to continue this to help him feel his best. Duke isn't looking for a grand castle, just a patient, loving forever home where he and Duchess can enjoy cozy spots, delicious treats, gentle affection, and plenty of time together. Ready to welcome a little royalty into your life? Duke and Duchess are waiting for their happily ever after!
