Notes from Mountain Pet Rescue Asheville

Fiddle is sweet and playful. She insists on a daily routine including a clean litter box! She is vocal about things. Always sits near us in the same room or in the cat condo near the window. She loves cat tv. She is not a lap cat at least so far, but does genuinely enjoy being close. Fiddle came to us with her tongue hanging out and a lot of nasal congestion. She has been checked out by our vet and 2 others, and they all said the same thing...get her a dental cleaning and see if it helps. So one of the vets did a dental for us, and it has improved some but she still has her tongue out and has congestion so at this point, we are guessing that is just what comes with Fiddle. She also had a nasal flush without improvement. Fiddle seems like she might be okay with an older calm dog but probably wouldn't care for a yappy/barky dog. We don't know about other cats. She does not like to be handled a lot and gets overstimulated fairly easily. Definitely an "on her terms" cat that prefer pets on her head and will tell you when you are annoying her with a paw swipe so probably not a great match with young children. All cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. Meet Fiddle by completing the online application first (no committment) and we will call to review with you and coordinate a meet and greet.
