Joe and Mike are two amazing male cats, 1 year old and 8 months old, respectively. They are playful, affectionate with their careprovider and each other. Both sweet boys are up to date on vaccinations, negative on FIV/Felv tests and neutered. Both spent a stint outdoors, displaced until they were taken in by their present caregiver. Joe Odin, named after a one-eyed Norse god of poetry, is himself an orange, one-eyed wonder. He is very vocal and responds joyfully to his world. He takes on a sort of “watch cat” presence and wants to know the skinny on anything new brought into the home. He enjoys playing with lazer pointers, teaser toys and especially playing tag and hide and seek with his younger brother Mike. Joe is a very dear boy who greets his caregiver at the door. Mike, or “Judge Mike” because he first appeared at the Madison County Court House whereupon he followed home his present caregiver, is a curious and precocious kitty. He loves to weigh in on any of his caregiver’s tasks, whether it be the dishes or laundry and especially glancing at the person’s laptop. He is a consummate teaser toy player and loves batting around his jingle bell balls, though his favorite leisure interest is in playing tag or wrestling with his big brother, Joe. Both boys are tidy litter box users, use their scratch pads on their cat trees and redirect easily if they attempt to use the furniture to scratch. They are affectionate and regularly want to be cuddled and brushed. And they are also independent, content to find a sunny window sill to nap on or to take in the the sights of the outdoors. Because Joe and Mike are such a loving bonded pair, they are offered as a pair only. This consideration will help ensure their smooth transion to a loving permanent home and their overall wellbeing and happiness. They groom and provide good company for each other. The boys come with their matching cat trees (pictured) and many teaser, lazer pointer and jingle bell ball toys, if the adoptive owner wants them.
