Notes from Carolina Animal Rescue And Adoption

When Nyx first appeared in November 2025, she'd dart beneath the porch to hide. But every evening, she'd reappear on the Ring camera, calling out like the princess she is until her evening meal was served. After a couple weeks of coaxing (and plenty of irresistible food), she decided indoor life was more suitable for royalty, pushed her way inside, and made herself right at home. Unfortunately, the resident cat court was not pleased with this outsider and demanded her removal at once. At an estimated 18 months old, Princess Nyx now has her own private quarters in her foster mom's office while she waits for her forever kingdom. She loves her Cattasaurus cat cave (which goes with her!), exploring paper bags, curling up beside her people, and lounging in sunny windows. She also takes her supervisory duties seriously and keeps a close eye on her foster mom's computer work and all arriving delivery people. Nyx loves other cats, but after surviving life outdoors, she prefers feline companions who respect her royal boundaries. She'd love a chill cat buddy with good manners who won't rush the friendship. She sports a small scar beneath her left eye from her former outdoor life, but every princess needs a good origin story, and Nyx says it only adds to her charm.
