Notes from For Pet's Sake Rescue

Meet Papa! Papa is a sweet, talkative boy who just needs a little time and patience to feel comfortable in new surroundings. He can be shy at first, but he is currently working on his socialization skills and learning that people can be trusted. Papa is very food-motivated, making tasty treats a great way to help him build confidence and form positive connections with his people. He does okay with being held and, once he starts to feel comfortable, his talkative personality begins to shine. Papa would do best with a patient adopter who understands that he may need some time to adjust and is willing to let him come out of his shell at his own pace. He has also done well with calm dogs and may be comfortable sharing his home with a gentle canine companion. If you're looking for a sweet boy who just needs someone willing to give him the time and patience he deserves, Papa could be your perfect match! PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT:Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states. Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel. Each pet is spayed/neutered, receives age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and flea/tick prevention. You can visit our website at www.forpetssakerescue.org for our full adoption process and adoption application. We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.

What happens next

  1. Contact For Pet's Sake Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to For Pet's Sake Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
