Notes from Heartland Humane Society of Missouri
Wynken — A Little Cautious, a Whole Lot of Sweet! Wynken has already overcome more than any little kitten should have to. He came into rescue with two siblings, all three in very rough shape. Sadly, his siblings didn't survive, and for a while, we weren't sure Wynken would make it either. But this little fighter had other plans! Today, Wynken is doing well and learning that life can be pretty wonderful. He's just taking things at his own pace. Getting to Know WynkenWynken is a sweet boy who can be cautious when faced with new people or surroundings. When he first arrived in foster care, his favorite place was a chair tucked beneath the dining room table. He stayed there for days before finally finding the courage to explore! Now he's discovering that there's a whole world of fun waiting for him. Loves playing with toys Enjoys gentle pets and affection Needs a little time to feel comfortable Does well with other cats Sweet and playful once he settles inOne thing Wynken isn't particularly fond of? Being picked up. He much prefers keeping all four paws on the ground! A Kitty Friend Is a Must! Wynken has a special feline best friend in foster care named Llona. These two have developed a wonderful friendship, and Llona has shown just how much Wynken enjoys having another cat around. Wynken and Llona are not bonded and do not need to be adopted together. Llona is currently dealing with some health issues and won't be available for adoption anytime soon. Wynken, however, is ready to find his forever home! He will need another friendly feline companion to play with, spend time with, and help him feel comfortable in his new surroundings. Wynken's Perfect HomeWynken needs a patient family who understands that new things can be a little scary at first. Give him time, toys, gentle affection, and a friendly kitty companion, and you'll get to watch this sweet boy continue growing in confidence. He's already fought so hard for his chance at a happy life. Now he just needs someone to give him the forever home he's been waiting for.
