Notes from Heartland Humane Society of Missouri

Meet Hotcake: The Sweetest Boy with a Heart of Gold! Hotcake is proof that some of the greatest treasures are found in the most unexpected places. This incredibly friendly and affectionate boy was found entirely on his own in a sewer drain, but the moment he was safe, his true colors emerged. Within just five minutes of being rescued, Hotcake completely melted and became a non-stop purr machine! Since that day, he has transformed from a scared single kitten into a confident, joyful, and deeply loving companion. Life is an absolute blast for Hotcake. He is highly playful, full of happy energy, and gets along wonderfully with every single kitty he meets. In fact, he has formed an extra-special bond with his foster sister, Moira Rose. Both were single kittens found scared and alone outside, but they have completely bloomed together in foster care. Because they bring out the absolute best in each other, Hotcake would love nothing more than to find a forever home where he can be adopted with Moira Rose. When playtime is over, Hotcake turns into the ultimate snuggle bug. His favorite thing in the world is to lay right on or near you, making enthusiastic biscuits and purring up a storm until he drifts off to sleep. He is a truly resilient, affectionate soul who is so ready to bring a lifetime of warmth and companionship to his forever family
