Meet Selene – A Shy Little Sweetheart with So Much Love to Give! Selene is a beautiful young kitty with a gentle soul who just needs someone special to help her come out of her shell. Rescued from a rural animal control after being picked up as a stray, Selene found herself welcomed into a group of four littermates who happily took her in as one of their own. Now she’s hoping to find a forever family who will show her that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Selene is a shy, timid girl who missed out on some important socialization during her early kittenhood. As a result, she’s still learning that people can be trusted. Her first instinct when someone approaches is often to run and hide, but don’t let that fool you! Underneath that timid exterior is an incredibly sweet kitty who desperately wants to be loved. Once you start petting her, she absolutely melts into your touch and purrs up a storm! She even enjoys being cuddled and will sweetly nuzzle her foster mom while being held. Selene just needs time, patience, and reassurance to build her confidence. She may hide when she’s frightened, and her progress may come in small steps, but every little milestone is incredibly rewarding. She’s not the kind of kitty who will immediately greet you at the door, but with love and understanding, she has so much potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. One thing Selene absolutely adores is other cats! She thrives on feline companionship and takes comfort in having friendly kitty friends around. Her ideal home must have at least one other friendly, confident cat who can take her under their wing and help show her that humans aren’t so scary. She also enjoys playing with toys, especially when she thinks nobody is watching! And if you’re looking for the quickest way to win her heart, just open a can of kitty food. That’s definitely her love language! Selene is looking for a quiet, peaceful home without children, where she can settle in at her own pace. Her adopter must understand that building trust takes time and be willing to love her exactly as she is, even on the days when she’d rather hide. Selene may not be the easiest kitty to win over, but she will be one of the most rewarding. There’s something truly special about earning the trust of a frightened little soul and watching her discover that she’s finally safe and loved. Could you be the patient, loving person who gives Selene the happy ending she deserves?
