Meet Buddy – The Affectionate Gentleman Looking for His Forever Lap
Buddy is a sweet, yellow-and-white boy estimated to be around 4–5 years old, with the most striking green eyes you’ll ever see. This handsome fellow was recently rescued and is ready to fill a home with pure love and constant companionship.
If you’re looking for a cat who believes personal space is overrated, Buddy is your guy. He is super affectionate — he will purr the second you touch him and happily rub against any part of you he can reach. Whether you’re sitting on the couch, working at your desk, or just walking by, he’s right there offering soft headbutts and happy chirps.
While staying in an extra-large cage in the middle of a busy living room, Buddy has remained calm and curious around three resident cats and a dog. He’s shown that he’s comfortable sharing space with other pets and doesn’t seem phased by the household activity.
Important note: Buddy tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Many people are surprised to learn that FIV+ cats can live long, happy, healthy lives — especially as indoor-only pets. FIV is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, not casual contact, shared food bowls, or grooming. With regular vet care and a low-stress home, Buddy has every chance of being a wonderful companion for years to come.
He’s looking for a calm, loving indoor home where he can continue receiving (and giving) plenty of affection.

Adoption Fee: $ 75.00
TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, FIV/FeLV test, and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption.
Because we do not know the background of many of our cats, we cannot guarantee exact age or breed.
Adoption centers may not have a volunteer present to open the cat enclosures, and we have foster homes located throughout the KC metro area. Please fill out an application if you'd like to meet this cat.
