Augie / Malachai

Augie and Malachai, a sweet, bonded, 5-year-old pair, are going to be the fun and warm part of the cold winter days that are fast approaching! Augie will be your personal heating pad, keeping you cozy on both your shoulders and your lap. This guy is a lover; he will take hours of naps with you. However, when he is rested, he will find interesting and high-up places from which to survey his kingdom. Malachai is the lazy one, who takes life as it comes. He prefers to relax on the floor and invite you to rub his tummy. These two are independent most of the time, but also groom each other. Both Augie and Malachai have a brief period of zoomies each day. They are not very talkative unless it's 5 o'clock, when they are ready for wet cat food; they have no qualms about letting the chef know if he is behind schedule! Malachai has a heartier appetite; therefore, it’s best to feed them in separate dishes, about 10 feet apart, so Malachai doesn’t eat all of Augie’s leftovers. Most of all, though, they enjoy hanging out nearby. If you sit in a room, the chances are good they will show up and find comfy places to nap on you next to you. We live in a 3 bedroom house. and are home most of the time. We are out of the house for 6 hours at a stretch, a few times a week, and the cats have been okay with that. Augie and Malachai have been super about using the litter box(es).Augie and Malachai will be very adaptable to people of all ages, young and old. They are on a special diet for kidney health and are eating both wet and dry cat food, so their care is extremely simple. Their forever people should be committed to continuing with their renal food, so they can live their happiest and healthiest lives. Ready for double the fun this fall? Augie and Malachai can’t wait to meet you! There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates.
