Notes from Marshmallow Foundation

Meet Charleston!

Charleston is a young, playful kitty with a big heart and tons of energy. He’s the ultimate lap cat who wants to be right in your skin, soaking up every bit of attention. He may feel a little unsure when first picked up, but keep the pets coming and he’ll settle right in and enjoy the cuddles. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who loves to play and bond, Charleston is hoping you’ll bring him home.

Visitors to the shelter are by appointment only and after a form has been submitted online:

Can't adopt right now? Marshmallow Foundation is looking for a foster home for Charleston. Fostering is short-term, and the rescue usually covers food and vet care. Ask them about it.

What happens next

  1. Contact Marshmallow Foundation using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Marshmallow Foundation, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
