Notes from Marshmallow Foundation

Hutton is a sweet, sometimes shy, and delightfully goofy girl who lights up when she gets attention, on her own terms of course! She loves dramatic entrances — running up, striking a pose, then sauntering away while making sure you’re watching her every move. She dreams of claiming the highest spot on the cat tree or soaking up sunshine in a window, quietly watching the world go by. Playful and friendly with cats and dogs, Hutton is gentle and easygoing, but she prefers calm homes with older kids or adults. She’s not big on being held, and she’ll need a little time and patience to feel safe in a new place.

Right now, this affectionate girl is at the shelter, hoping for someone patient and loving to give her the forever home she deserves.

Visitors to the shelter are by appointment only and after a form has been submitted online:

What happens next

  1. Contact Marshmallow Foundation using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Marshmallow Foundation, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
