Notes from Marshmallow Foundation

Meet Charo, a sleek tabby kitty with a big personality that shines when things are calm and quiet. He transforms from a mysterious shadow into a professional chaos goblin when he feels safe with you.

Food time brings out his silly side. He chirps, trills, and does dramatic stretches while leaning into pets, head-butting your hand, and purring loudly. He is still cautious with hands at other times, but he is warming up one treat at a time.

Toys are his favorite. He becomes a parkour champion with springs, crinkle balls, or anything with a bell. He loves nightly zoomies and is fully cat-friendly, happily playing with his friends. He would do great with a playful cat buddy in his new home.

Charo prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and is not ready for being picked up yet. He is looking for a patient, cat-savvy person with a calm home, predictable routine, and plenty of playtime. He would love a playful companion or two.

Give him time and he will reward you with goofy chirps, dramatic flops, and growing trust that turns into velcro affection. If you are ready for a fun kitty who blooms in chapters, come meet Charo. He is saving his next midnight zoomie just for you.

What happens next

  1. Contact Marshmallow Foundation using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Marshmallow Foundation, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
