Meet Gilly! A Sweet Senior Boy Looking for a Second ChanceGilly is a handsome 10-year-old black cat who is looking for a quiet, loving home to call his own. This sweet boy has been through a lot of heartbreak. After his beloved owner passed away, a kind neighbor cared for him until they were no longer able to keep him. Now, Gilly is hoping someone will open their heart and give him the second chance he deserves. Understandably, Gilly is a scared boy right now. Everything familiar to him has changed, and he needs time, patience, and a gentle hand to help him feel safe again. He will need someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let him come out of his shell at his own pace. Sometimes, the most beautiful friendships are the ones that grow slowly, one little step at a time. Gilly is a handsome black kitty with two adorable little white markings, one on his paw and another on his chest. These tiny splashes of white make him extra special, like he has his own little signature markings! At 10 years old, Gilly deserves a soft place to land, cozy beds for afternoon naps, and a person who will give him the time he needs to feel secure. He is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, neutered, and microchipped, so he is ready to begin his next chapter. Gilly has already experienced the heartbreak of losing the person he knew as home. Now, we hope his next chapter will be filled with kindness, comfort, and the promise of forever. He may be scared today, but with patience and understanding, he deserves the chance to discover what it feels like to be safe and loved again. Could you be Gilly's safe place? He doesn't need someone to rush him or expect too much too soon. He just needs someone willing to give him a chance, respect his pace, and show him that there is still so much goodness waiting for him. Please consider giving this sweet senior boy the loving home he deserves. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is $25
