Notes from Humane Society of Carroll County, Inc.

Meet Ottis! Ottis is a sweet 7-year-old tabby who may be a little shy at first, but underneath that quiet exterior is a gentle soul just waiting to feel safe and loved. He takes his time getting comfortable, and once he trusts you, he’ll show you just how special he truly is. Ottis is looking for a patient and loving forever family who will give him the time, kindness, and reassurance he needs to come out of his shell. A calm home where he can settle in at his own pace would be the perfect place for this handsome boy. Give this sweet tabby the forever home he deserves! Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 816. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 18 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
