Notes from Humane Society of Kent County Maryland Inc.

Flash Flood is proof that sometimes the best things in life quietly curl up beside you. Meet Flash Flood, an 8-year-old black and white sweetheart who came to us alongside 13 other cats after their owner could no longer care for them. If you're looking for a loyal companion, Flash Flood might just be your perfect match. She's the kind of cat who wants to be wherever you are. Whether she's following you from room to room, curling up next to you on the couch, or claiming a cozy spot on the bed after a long day, Flash Flood is always ready to provide comfort and companionship. This affectionate girl has a gentle, loving personality that makes her easy to adore. She enjoys attention, appreciates a good cuddle session, and is happiest when she's spending time with her people. You may notice Flash Flood's ear tip, a sign that she once went through a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program when she was living outdoors. While she may have started her journey outside, she's been enjoying indoor life for the past several years and has absolutely no plans to trade in her creature comforts for the great outdoors again! Flash Flood gets along well with other cats and does not seem bothered by older, calm dogs, making her an excellent candidate for a multi-pet home. Flash Flood gets along well with other cats and would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a calm, affectionate feline friend. If your idea of happiness is a warm cat by your side and a faithful companion who always wants to be near, Flash Flood is ready to make a splash in your heart. Flash Flood's adoption fee is $25, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive!
