Notes from Humane Society of Carroll County, Inc.

Meet Sunny! Sunny is an adorable 5-month-old gray tabby kitten who is looking for her new family! This playful little girl loves having fun and exploring the world around her. Although she can be a little shy around people at first, she just needs some time and patience to feel comfortable in new surroundings. Sunny is hoping to find a loving family who will let her blossom at her own pace and help her grow into the confident kitty she’s meant to be. With a little love and understanding, Sunny is ready to brighten someone’s world! Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 816. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 18 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
