Notes from Humane Society of Kent County Maryland Inc.

Starting October 6, all cats and kittens are FREE to adopt! Come find your new best friend today!️ Why settle for a little love when you can have Fog in your face about it? ️Meet Fog! Fog is a 3‑year‑old tabby who has mastered the art of high‑place lounging and full‑face affection. In our free‑roam room, you can almost always spot him stretched out on the cat wall, snoozing like a king overseeing his kingdom. But the moment you walk through the door, Fog springs into action — jumping down, trotting over, and getting right in your face with his enthusiastic “Hi, I love you!” greeting. Fog came to us with his thirteen siblings, and he still carries that big‑family confidence and friendliness. Whether you’re here to meet him or one of his brothers or sisters, Fog assumes you’re here for him and makes sure you don’t leave without saying hello. He’s social, affectionate, and loves being part of whatever is happening. He enjoys tunnels, high perches, and any cozy spot where he can lounge like royalty. But he’s just as happy curling up in your lap, soaking up attention, and reminding you that he’s not just a climber — he’s a cuddler too. Fog is good with kids and cats, and he has not had any negative reactions to dogs. His easygoing nature makes him a great fit for many types of homes. If you’re looking for a cat who’s equal parts chill, charming, and delightfully in‑your‑face affectionate, Fog might be your perfect match. He’s ready to find a home where he can nap high, love deeply, and greet his people with enthusiasm every single day. Fog's adoption fee is $50, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive!
