Notes from Humane Society of Carroll County, Inc.

Meet Juniper! Juniper is a sweet 2-year-old girl who is looking for a safe and loving forever home. She is a shy girl who will need time, patience, and understanding to come out of her shell and feel comfortable in her new surroundings. Juniper may not be the first kitty to run up and say hello, but with a little time and a lot of love, she can learn to trust and show her special personality. She’s hoping for a quiet, patient family who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and loved. Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 816. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 18 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
