Notes from Animal Safe Haven and Adoptions, Inc.

Interested in adopting a kitty?!The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which is located on our website at: www.rescueandadopt.org/adopt. Please remember to include:1) Your $15 adoption deposit, which will be subtracted from the adoption fee, if you are approved to adopt.2) Vet records for any current cats or dogs in the home. For cats, we require that they are up to date on their rabies and FVRCP vaccines and seen for an annual wellness exam. For dogs, we require that they are up to date on their rabies vaccine and seen for an annual wellness exam. 3) Permission from your landlord if you rent from a private landlord. We can verify pet policies at apartment complexes. 4) Proof of home ownership if you do NOT live in Maryland. Adoption fees: $150 for kittens and cats under 5 years old. $125 for cats 5 years old and over. We do offer a 15% discount for adopting 2 ADULT cats (over 1 year old) at once, and for certain professions -- first responders, teachers and active or former members of the military.
