Notes from Animal Rescue League of Boston - Pine Ridge Animal Shelter
MEET NATE!Big Nate is a friendly former stray. He'd like everyone to know that he's ready to leave the great outdoors behind and settle into a warm cozy forever home! He has learned the joys of being brushed and gives excellent head butts. While we do not know if he has ever lived with cats, here at the shelter he has shown interest in them so he may enjoy a kitty companion in his new home. If you are interested in meeting this handsome man, stop by our Dedham shelter! Nate is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped and seen by our vet team. During his vet exam, Nate tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). This condition is not uncommon is former free-roaming cats. Cats with FIV can have a normal lifespan with an excellent quality of life. Your new primary care veterinarian may recommend more frequent regular examinations to more closely monitor Nate's health and can discuss various medical therapies or treatment options. Nate should ideally be kept indoors. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston please visit us during our adoption center hours: Wednesdays-Sundays from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, Tuesdays by appointment only from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, closed Mondays & Holidays.
