Notes from Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue

I’m a 2-year-old semi-feral girl who has been waiting at the shelter for a year and a half. I’m still learning to trust people, but I’m making progress—and Churu treats and head scratches are definitely the way to my heart! I’m looking for a quiet, loving home with a patient owner who will give me the time I need to feel safe and blossom. Could you be the one to take a chance on me? If you are interested in adopting, please fill put an application online at ahimsahaven.org .

Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only.

As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.

What happens next

  1. Contact Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
