Notes from Cenla Cat Project

MEET BAUTISTA: HE’S WATCHING YOU.

Going to the kitchen? Bautista noticed.

Opening a cabinet? Bautista would like to know why.

Moving something across the room? Suspicious.

Bautista is a handsome grey tabby kitten who believes nothing should happen in his home without proper feline supervision. He’s a little timid, so he prefers to conduct his investigations from a safe distance until he decides everything checks out.

Once he settles in, though, the real Bautista starts appearing.

And that boy has ENERGY.

Toys must be chased. Towers must be climbed. Rooms must be explored. Sunny spots must be occupied immediately. ☀️

Then bedtime arrives and Officer Bautista clocks out.

That’s when this cautious little investigator turns into a super-sweet snuggle bug. Curl up with him and you’ll be rewarded with soft, contented purrs that make it very clear you have finally passed his background check. ❤️

Bautista will need a little patience while he adjusts to his new home. Give him the time to feel safe, and you’ll discover a playful, loving orange boy who just happens to keep tabs on everything you do.

Privacy? You adopted a cat. That was your first mistake.

What happens next

  1. Contact Cenla Cat Project using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Cenla Cat Project, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
