Notes from Midwest Pet Refuge

Slate came in as a very sick kitten. He is all grown up now but can still be skittish because he needed frequent meds. He hates to be grabbed or held tightly, but if he trusts you he loves to be petted! He is good with other cats. Slate does need high quality food to help his very sensitive stomach. He is neutered. His adoption fee is $75.

What happens next

  1. Contact Midwest Pet Refuge using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Midwest Pet Refuge, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
