Notes from DeKalb Humane Society, Inc.

Hi, I’m Tennessee Jed. 🤠🐾

I’m currently accepting applications for the position of Patient Human With a Quiet House and Excellent Blanket Selection.

I haven’t been at the shelter long, and frankly, I have some notes. It’s noisy. It’s busy. There are far too many strangers looking at me before I’ve had time to properly judge them.

So yes, I’m shy.

I’m the kind of cat who likes to hang back, observe the situation, and decide whether you seem trustworthy. But underneath this cautious exterior is a very good boy who just needs a little time, a peaceful place, and someone willing to let friendship happen at my pace.

I may not leap into your lap the moment we meet.

But give me patience, kindness, and a cozy corner to call my own, and you might get to watch me become the cat I was always meant to be.

And honestly? Being chosen by a shy cat is kind of a big deal.

So what do you say? Come meet me, take me home, and let’s see who I become.

Love, Tennessee Jed 🐾
