Notes from Midwest Pet Refuge
Sammy, age 5, came in terrified and misunderstood. Once he felt safe, his personality bloomed. He would love to be the only pet and also prefers a home without small children. He is a big softie who simply wants love and stability. His past life does make him defensive though, so he is quick to sternly correct you if you do something he does not like. Sammy recently had surgery to help remove painful bone shards from his declaw. He has recovered and is ready for his forever home. Completing a questionnaire on any other website does not submit an application to our rescue, you must complete one on our website. What happens next
- Contact Midwest Pet Refuge using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
- They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
- Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Midwest Pet Refuge, never to AdoptNearby.
- Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
