Notes from Midwest Pet Refuge

Meet Alley. Alley is the kind of cat who turns every place she rests into a little moment of magic. She earned her name honestly—found snoozing in the cozy corners of neighborhood streets and alleys, perfectly content to curl up wherever life set her down. Now that she’s safe and loved, she’s ready for a home where she gets to choose the softest spot… ideally right beside you. This sweet girl wants to be the center of your world, and she gives that devotion right back. Alley loves to sleep next to her person at night, gently reminding you that nothing beats the comfort of a warm, purring companion. She’s affectionate, loyal, and wonderfully tender. Alley may prefer to be the reigning queen of her new home—she’s not demanding, just a lady who knows her worth and enjoys having her kingdom all to herself. In return, she offers endless love, quiet companionship, and a heart that’s been waiting for someone to call her own. If you’re looking for a cat who will adore you, stay close, and fill your home with warmth, Alley is ready to step out of the alleyways and into your life. Just a quick note—she's currently in foster care, not at the shelter, so she won't be available for walk-in visits. If you'd like to meet her, we'll need to schedule a meet and greet in advance. Let us know what days work best for you, and we’ll be happy to coordinate! If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Completing a questionnaire on any other website does not submit an application to our rescue, you must complete one on our website. If you have any questions, please email us at adopt@MidwestPetRefuge.com

What happens next

  1. Contact Midwest Pet Refuge using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Midwest Pet Refuge, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
