Notes from Midwest Pet Refuge

WHATCHAMACALLIT (aka “Chachi”… or whatever nickname you land on)2-year-old | Neutered Male | Long-haired Grey & WhiteWhatchamacallit is a beautiful grey-and-white boy with a name as big as his personality — which, admittedly, he keeps mostly to himself. He’s not unfriendly. He’s just selective. Very, very selective. Pets are rarely on his agenda, and if you push your luck he’ll let you know with a hiss and his best disappearing act — scrunching himself down like he can simply cease to exist if he tries hard enough. However, if Churu is involved, our resident cat whisperer has been known to get a rare moment of contact, so there’s hope yet. What he lacks in cuddles he makes up for in presence. He’s peaceful, non-aggressive, and completely comfortable with the cats he lives with. He just needs a quiet home, a patient human, and maybe a lifetime supply of Churu. He’s bonded to his brother Gizmo and would love to be adopted with him — that familiar face might be just the confidence boost he needs. Adoption fee: $75 Apply today at www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt Adoption includes: spay/neuter, microchip, FVRCP vaccine(s), rabies vaccine, flea prevention, and deworming medication. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Completing a questionnaire on any other website does not submit an application to our rescue, you must complete one on our website. What happens next

  1. Contact Midwest Pet Refuge using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Midwest Pet Refuge, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
