Notes from Midwest Pet Refuge

Vivace has been with us since 2023 and is the last of his litter still waiting for a home. He’s a very sweet, affectionate boy once he knows you, and he absolutely insists on being held and snuggled. He often climbs right onto your shoulder, a habit he picked up back when he was a feral kitten in a tower cage and learned that shoulders were the best place to be. He’s chunky, he holds on, and he means every bit of it as affection. He can be unsure about strangers at first, but with his people he is loving, clingy, and full of personality. He gets along well with other cats and nice dogs. Vivace is neutered and ready for his forever home. Adoption fee: $75 Apply today at www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt Adoption includes: spay/neuter, microchip, FVRCP vaccine(s), rabies vaccine, flea prevention, and deworming medication. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Completing a questionnaire on any other website does not submit an application to our rescue, you must complete one on our website. If you have any questions, please email us at adopt@MidwestPetRefuge.com

What happens next

  1. Contact Midwest Pet Refuge using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Midwest Pet Refuge, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
