Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) · Baby (3 months 29 days) · Male · Large · Greenville, IL
Notes from Bond County Humane Society
Dustin (nicknamed Stetson) was found at just two weeks old, curled up in the parking lot of an EMS base, his eyes barely open. His nickname is a nod to the stethoscope, that quiet instrument that listens closely to the heart, and like his namesake, he has a calm, gentle presence all his own.
A handsome tuxedo through and through, he's not one to race for the spotlight, but he'll happily curl up beside you and start purring the moment you reach to pet him. He's been raised around lively five-year-olds in a foster home and takes it all in stride, though he often seeks out the calmer company of a preteen or teen, someone who moves a little slower and settles in for a proper cuddle. At the age of 16 weeks, he gets along wonderfully with his litter mates, though he'll often slip away to find a cozy corner all his own for a quiet nap.
There's a sharp little mind behind those markings. He's a whiz at puzzle feeders and treat games, and he'll happily work out how to get to a reward. He enjoys playtime like any kitten, chasing a toy or batting at a string, but even then he keeps it gentle, more soft pounce than wild chase. You'll find him climbing a shelf to survey the room, inspecting the autumn decor, or admiring his foster family's Lab puppy from a safe distance, though he's especially fond of curling up beside their gentle senior Great Dane.
Dustin is available for immediate adoption. He is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped. His adoption fee is $160. If you are interested in making him a member of your family, please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org. Email the completed profile to the address provided. A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available on request.
