Notes from Emmet County Animal Shelter

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***

Luke is a growing up to be a big boy! This active, friendly boy would love to have a family with kids to play toys with and to cuddle. Luke had found himself all alone in the world when he was just a little guy so he wants to make sure his next chapter in life is all set to love him for ever and ever. Luke was born July of 2025 and is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and FeLV/FIV negative. As always our kitten and cat adoption fees are free will to approved applicants.

What happens next

  1. Contact Emmet County Animal Shelter using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Emmet County Animal Shelter, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
