Notes from Carroll County Animal Shelter

Hello dear! I'm Abby! I'm an adult orange tabby girl, so that already makes me distinctive--only 20% of orange tabbies are girls! I have pretty, expressive eyes, and extremely soft fur. I am usually pretty friendly, but sometimes, I'm just not up for interaction. I guess you could say I'm hot and cold--when I want pets, I really want pets! But when I don't, I really, really don't! So for that reason, I am probably better suited to a home without small children, because I need my people to understand that I need my me-time, and sometimes small kids just don't get that. That being said, I think once I'm in my own home with my own people and some stability, I'll be a lot less wishy-washy about getting attention. I think I would make a fabulous guard cat, because I will not take crap from anyone! So if you would like a girl that might be a little more challenging than the average cat, but is still sweet a lot of the time, maybe I'm exactly the right cat for you!

The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.
