Meet Poppy — The Sweetheart Who Deserves the Best

If you’re looking for a gentle, loving kitty to fill your heart, Poppy is the girl for you!

This beautiful 1–2‑year‑old tabby was rescued by a kind friend who made sure she was spayed and vaccinated. During routine testing for strays ready to be re-homed, they discovered that Poppy is FIV+ — and suddenly, she had nowhere to go.

Safe Pet Project stepped in to give her the love and safety she deserves. Poppy now shares her space with Grace , our other FIV+ kitten, and both are thriving.

About FIV: FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is not contagious to humans, but it can spread to other cats. Poppy would do best as a solo indoor kitty or in a home with another FIV+ cat. She’s healthy, affectionate, and will live a normal, happy life with proper indoor care.

What happens next

  1. Contact Safe Pet Project Inc using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Safe Pet Project Inc, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
