Notes from Street Paws

This cat is located at The Humane Society and SPCA of Clayton County Inc. They are a subsidiary of Street Paws.

Lime is a dark grey tabby boy with a heart as soft as his stripes. He’s a champion lounger, often found stretched out in his favorite cozy spot, soaking in all the comfort life has to offer. But don’t let his relaxed nature fool you—when he’s awake, he does not play around with toys. Lime goes all‑in, batting, pouncing, and showing off his playful side with full commitment. He’s laid‑back yet curious, always interested in what’s happening around him without ever being pushy. Above all, Lime is incredibly sweet and loving, the kind of cat who brings calm warmth to any home while still keeping things fun when he’s in the mood.

Adoptions are generally limited to an approximately 150-mile radius of Jonesboro, Georgia. Exceptions may be considered under certain circumstances.

To apply to adopt, please complete our Preliminary Adoption Application. Submitting an application does not commit you to adopting. It allows us to determine whether the pet is a good match for your home and family.

As part of the approval process, we verify the veterinary history of current and previous pets, including annual vaccinations and spay/neuter status. Please contact your veterinarian in advance and authorize them to release this information to Clayton County Humane Society.

The adoption fee for all cats is $125. Each cat receives:

Age-appropriate vaccinations

Spay or neuter surgery

FeLV/FIV testing

Deworming

Flea prevention

A microchip registered to the adopter

You must have an approved application before scheduling a meeting with a pet. For additional information, please email info@streetpaws.org.

What happens next

  1. Contact Street Paws using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Street Paws, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
