Notes from Street Paws

This cat is located at The Humane Society and SPCA of Clayton County Inc. They are a subsidiary of Street Paws.

Meet this beautiful tortoiseshell queen named Clair or Evil kitty.

We like to call her evil kitty not because she's a mean cat but because the markings on her face make her look angry all the time. This sweet Torti girl is full of personality and affection! She absolutely loves pets and will happily trot right up to you to ask for attention. If you’re looking for a kitty who seeks you out for love, she’s your girl. She’s not shy about telling you how she feels either — she can be delightfully vocal when she wants attention (or just wants to chat!).

She enjoys cuddles and soaking up affection, but like any classy lady, she appreciates her boundaries. She’ll gently let you know when she’s had her fill of snuggles — and then she’s off to do her own thing until she’s ready for more.

If you’re looking for a sweet, confident companion who gives love freely but also keeps things honest, this torti sweetheart is ready to find her forever home.

Adoptions are generally limited to an approximately 150-mile radius of Jonesboro, Georgia. Exceptions may be considered under certain circumstances.

To apply to adopt, please complete our Preliminary Adoption Application. Submitting an application does not commit you to adopting. It allows us to determine whether the pet is a good match for your home and family.

As part of the approval process, we verify the veterinary history of current and previous pets, including annual vaccinations and spay/neuter status. Please contact your veterinarian in advance and authorize them to release this information to Clayton County Humane Society.

The adoption fee for all cats is $125. Each cat receives:

Age-appropriate vaccinations

Spay or neuter surgery

FeLV/FIV testing

Deworming

Flea prevention

A microchip registered to the adopter

You must have an approved application before scheduling a meeting with a pet. For additional information, please email info@streetpaws.org.

What happens next

  1. Contact Street Paws using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Street Paws, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
