Notes from Street Paws

This cat is located at The Humane Society and SPCA of Clayton County Inc. They are a subsidiary of Street Paws.

Butler is the cat clown of the house—the furry comedian who can turn any quiet moment into a full‑blown performance. He’s silly, playful, and absolutely loves messing around with the other cats, even when they’re clearly not in the mood for his antics. Whether he’s pouncing on a tail, rolling dramatically across the floor, or inventing new ways to cause harmless chaos, Butler keeps everyone entertained with his goofy charm. But once he finally burns off all that clown energy, he transforms into the laziest cat imaginable, melting into blankets, stretching out like royalty, and acting as if moving is the greatest inconvenience in the world. Butler is a lovable mix of mischief and mellow, a cat who brings laughter, warmth, and endless personality to any home. Butler is in good health and ready to adopted into his forever loving home.

Adoptions are generally limited to an approximately 150-mile radius of Jonesboro, Georgia. Exceptions may be considered under certain circumstances.

To apply to adopt, please complete our Preliminary Adoption Application. Submitting an application does not commit you to adopting. It allows us to determine whether the pet is a good match for your home and family.

As part of the approval process, we verify the veterinary history of current and previous pets, including annual vaccinations and spay/neuter status. Please contact your veterinarian in advance and authorize them to release this information to Clayton County Humane Society.

The adoption fee for all cats is $125. Each cat receives:

Age-appropriate vaccinations

Spay or neuter surgery

FeLV/FIV testing

Deworming

Flea prevention

A microchip registered to the adopter

You must have an approved application before scheduling a meeting with a pet. For additional information, please email info@streetpaws.org.

What happens next

  1. Contact Street Paws using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Street Paws, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
