Notes from Ayla's Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue

Meet Cheddar! Cheddar is a handsome little orange tabby with a bright future ahead of him! This adorable boy is getting his first taste of life as a house cat. He'sjust a touch shy but is slowly learning that having humans around can be a pretty good thing! Cheddar and his sister Brie were born to a feral mother in the Lincolnville area of St. Augustine and were first spotted in early July. Luckily, a kindhearted person began feeding them and keeping an eye on them until they could get the help they needed. Cheddar has since been neutered and is now enjoying the safety and comfort of a loving foster home. His wonderful foster family is working on his socialization skills, helping him gain confidence and discover that people aren’t nearly as scary as he once thought! Because Cheddar spent his early days without much human interaction, he’s still adjusting to his new life and learning to trust. He’ll need a patient, understanding family who will let him progress at his own pace and celebrate all the little milestones along the way. We have high hopes that with time, consistency, and lots of positive experiences, Cheddar will continue to come out of his shell. This handsome little guy deserves a family who will give him the chance to discover just how wonderful being loved can be! All Ayla’s Acres cats must be indoor-only, and declawing is never permitted. A home visit is required prior to adoption, and an adoption fee applies. All kittens must be adopted as a pair or into a home with another friendly cat. If you’re interested in adopting this handsome fellow, please visit AylasAcres.org and submit an adoption application.
